The following workshops are available for parenting, school and church groups:

Proverb Parenting
Proverbs 1:8-9 says, "My child, obey the teachings of your parents, and wear their teachings as you would a lovely hat or a pretty necklace."  While this scripture is directed towards how children should live, it also implies that parents should guide them and teach them wisely and appropriately according to biblical standards.  This workshop is ideal for parents wanting fresh ideas about how to raise their child with a foundation of Christian values .

Positive Parenting Practices

Every parent has certain goals, dreams and wishes for their child's life.  Parenting serves as the starting point for making such goals and dreams possible.  The practices taught in this workshop can be used as navigational tools to guide parents and help them create a home environment that will allow a child to grow and learn in all areas of development.  Specifically, parents will learn how to best communicate with their child, interact with them, and persevere and remain patient through challenging situations.

Parenting the Strong-Willed Child
At some point along the parenting journey, the way to train and discipline a child becomes vague and uncertain.  Parents begin to make emotional decisions about consequences rather than logical decisions.  In this workshop, parents are taught how to understand their child's behavior, learn how to set realistic and appropriate expectations for their child's behavior, and how to respond to challenging and defiant behaviors.

What to Expect:  Developmental Milestones and Activities for the First Five Years
The first few years of a child's life can be the most overwhelming for parents, yet are the most important for a child's growth and development.  In this interactive session, parents will discover ways to unlock their child's potential through play. Parents will also learn when to worry about possible developmental delays in the areas of cognition, speech, motor, social and self-help skills.

Keys To Raising A Responsible Student
When school becomes the primary source of a child's interaction and learning, it does not negate the importance of creating a supportive home environment.  Parents will learn how to encourage and stimulate a child's learning beyond the classroom and set a foundation for success academically and socially.

Understanding the Foundations of Social Development and Bullying
The advancement of technology and social media has taken teasing and bullying to a new level that parents may find difficult to work through.  In this session, parents of school age children will learn how to guide children towards appropriate social relationships with their peers as well as learn how to develop a plan of action to discourage bullying and resolve a bullying situation.

Here are some things parents have said about Angelica's teachings on positive parenting:
"I have started practicing the points you gave us already and my children are already happier!"

"I have heard several speakers. I have also read quite a bit about parenting. I even hold a teaching certificate. Plus I have 4 children, two of whom are adopted and I have read many psychology books as well relating to that. And yet your talk today brought so much to me! It was simple to understand, yet insightful. It was easy to implement. It was encouraging without bringing the ever present " mom guilt" upon us. :)"
